GTM Recruiter
About the role
GTM Recruitment Consultant / Division Lead
Leeds | Salary DOE | Up to 30% Commission with no threshold | Future Equity Potential
Ever fancied building your own recruitment division?
Not starting an agency from your spare bedroom, worrying about cash flow and wondering where your next client is coming from.
Actually building something. Putting your stamp on a market, growing a team and potentially having a genuine stake in what you create.
I've been speaking with an established Leeds recruitment business that's looking for someone to do exactly that.
And there's a pretty interesting opportunity here.
They've already built strong relationships with tech businesses developing some genuinely exciting products.
They help those businesses find the engineers who build the technology.
Now they want someone to find the commercial people who'll take it to market.
SDRs, BDRs, Account Executives, growth hires. The whole GTM piece.
And here's where it gets interesting.
You're not being asked to build a division with nothing but a LinkedIn licence and a bit of encouragement.
There's an established engineering desk, strong relationships with technology businesses and a genuine opportunity to cross-sell into clients who already know and trust the company.
A lot of that work is in the US, too. Bigger markets, plenty of commercial opportunity, but without the expectation that you'll spend every evening working US hours.
A few other things worth knowing:
Up to 30% commission, with no threshold. You're earning commission from your first pound billed, rather than having to clear a hurdle before seeing a return.
Consultants billing £450k+ in years two to three. That's already been achieved within the business, which gives you an idea of what's possible with the right platform.
Consultants consistently taking home £10k+ monthly commissions
A division to make your own. Shape the GTM offering, develop the market and ultimately build a team around you.
Potential future equity. A genuine possibility of building something you could eventually have an ownership stake in.
A business that's growing. Plans to add around 10 consultants over the next year.
And the culture sounds like a big part of why people do well there.
There's a collaborative approach across the desks, opportunities to travel to the US and meet clients, and team trips away.
It's an ambitious business, but not one where you're expected to sacrifice every evening just because your clients happen to be across the Atlantic.
There's flexibility, too. No obsession with being sat at your desk just for the sake of it.
And here's something else I really like about this opportunity.
They're not hung up on how many years you've been recruiting.
You might be relatively early in your career, but confident you've got what it takes to build a market and fancy backing yourself.
Equally, you might have been doing this for years, built desks or divisions before, and want the opportunity to do it again with a genuine route towards ownership.
Both are equally interesting.
It's more about what you're capable of than how long you've been doing it.
If you've had that thought about eventually running your own business, but would rather do it with an established platform, existing relationships and a team behind you, this could be a very good opportunity.
Let's have a chat.
